New Recruit.

You have been selected to join Department λ.

A Machine is more than the sum of it's parts. A great machine should be constantly upgrading.”

This organisation investigates, retrieves, erases or plants information. We do not fall under the jurisdiction of any Government. We extend our services Worldwide.

Department λ has hired you as a Controller to oversee 'information movement'. You will have at your disposal assets available from this Department. Controllers will work as part of a Unit to complete required tasks. You will not meet in person each other or any other Department Personnel.

Your Unit will be assigned a series of Projects. You will be given a deadline by which time you will have sufficient research to act upon a project. A team of appropriately skilled Agents will be scrambled. We will inform you of the time, date and the bandwidth and encryption upon which to maintain contact with these Agents so that you may direct them in real time. It is your responsibility to ensure they are successful.

This is the InfoFeed for Department λ. Controllers will refer to these pages for content on new projects.

If you compromise Department λ or otherwise breach your contract you will be contacted by Human Resources. You will get no first warning.

About Department λ the RPG. (OOC information)

About Department λ the RPG.

This is a cybersetting game. Players take the role of Controllers. Controllers can investigate using Department resources, and personal skills. Investigation is undertaken by email during the week(s) leading up to Live Game Time. Information researched by private skill is delivered back to the Player. Information researched using Department resources is delivered to the Blog. This Blog will set up plot seeds which Controllers are to investigate.

Live Game Time will be a prearranged time slot where players will log on to Roger Wilco voice chat. During this time they will be in command of a group of Agents in order to achieve their current objective. The Agents may be used to break into buildings, steal disks, erase HDD, sabotage buildings... We will use VoIP for you to talk to your Agents (the GM), and email for you to send plans, images etc. to their hardware.

Contact with Agents is via voice communication. Agents are wired to receive this information and respond without obvious external signs. Email can be sent which Agents will read from the inside of eyelids. Agents are wired to photograph where required and email that information back to you. The bandwidth is not in place to have constant video footage.

Live Game Time will be run in Real Time (as much as possible)
